as Opium celebrates 27 years!!
Tracy travelled to India in late Spring in search of unique pieces chosen for their aesthetic beauty, character and history. Working with local dealers, artisans and small workshops throughout Rajasthan, Gujarat and Orissa, she has sourced an eclectic collection of vintage furniture, architectural antiques and sacred objects to bring to the Kings Road store.
Many pieces are reclaimed - architectural fragments adapted into decorative shelves, 19th century doorways & windows made into mirrors, but she also supports contemporary handmade craft traditions with inlay furniture and a collection of marble bowls and planters from Udaipur. All are handmade, all carrying the imprint of their past.
